Please give us a short summary of your website?
Basketsim is neverending basketball challenge. Train your players to become superstars, compete in national and international cups, watch live matches against your league opponents. Take part in Basketsim draft, get youth stars from camps and colleges.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Well I'm just a user and promotor of this page. But It feels like mine already. I totaly connected with owner and i have some ideas which are being implented.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I think it was around year 2000 . When multiplayzone.com come alive but that old project now is there sth totaly difrent than at tjhose days
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Well as I said it's not totaly mine i joined the project. But I like the name anyway.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
It's unique live match's and live statistics. And posibility being there when the comunity develops form bottom to sky :)
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To run it self and to survive for long term. Maybe to earn for vacations :)
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
So far so good.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Only hire one more programer and one designer :)
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Of course. That's why we are already a team. 2 developers and a promotor(me) :)
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
No headaches so far :). Unexpeced was only start growth but we manage to move game to dedicated server with only a day of down time.
What has been your biggest challenge?
To get more players and I'm still working on it.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
mouth to mouth methode. And some web promoting. With good money flow there are noumerus options how to speed things up.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
So far it's only a bit slower grow.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Well it's already making almost enought money to survive but with coming more players coming ... we'll see. But If things stay the same for many years. In case of sudden lost of interest(not going to happened) the page would close down in a year on less.
